About This Station

The weather station sits on Fancy Gap Mountain near Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 204, at approximately 3,000 feet elevation. It measures temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, UV index, and precipitation.

Data updates every few minutes, providing a real-time window into conditions on the mountain. At this elevation, expect temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler than the valleys below.

The station has been monitoring the fog's behavior, learning its patterns, watching as it gathers and releases its grip on the ridge.
